CMA Music Festival Registration Packages will be delivered to you in mid May (before Memorial weekend) using FedEx 3-day signature service. A signature will be required for package release. In order to receive your package in plenty of time, it is very important to provide a valid and current "Ship To" address. Address changes will be accepted until Wednesday, April 23, 2008. After this date, the Box Office will be unable to accept address changes. Once the registration packages are shipped, customers requesting to re-route their package to another address will be charged an additional handling fee of $12.00 (this includes any packages delivered to a forwarding address). Registration packages for all new orders placed after April 23, 2008 will not be mailed out. These orders must be picked-up at Registration at the Sommet Center beginning Wednesday, June 4, 2008. To change and/or update your "Ship To" address before April 23, 2008, you can call the CMA Music Festival Box Office toll-free at 1-800-CMA-FEST (800-262-3378) or email the change to cmafest@sommetcenter.com. This email address is for address changes only. You will receive a confirmation from this email address once the change is completed. If you gave a P.O. Box address when ordering your tickets or have an international address, including Canada, your tickets will be held for pickup onsite at Registration at the Sommet Center.
Due to last-minute changes in artists' schedules, CMA Music Festival does not post when an artist will be signing in a booth. During the week of the CMA Music Festival, most exhibitors will post the hours that specific artists will be signing. If you are a member of a particular artist's fan club, they sometimes alert their members to this information before the week of the event.
One of the best parts about the CMA Music Festival Exhibit Hall is the opportunity to get that long anticipated autograph from your favorite artist. While not every artist is able to appear in the exhibit hall, many do. CMA Music Festival does encourage exhibitors to use a general system for autograph lines in order to keep lines running smoothly and efficiently for you, the fan! Hopefully this system will allow for the greatest number of autographs to be signed within a reasonable time frame.
The exhibitors hand out a certain amount of pre-printed tickets from their booth. Timing of when these are distributed varies for each exhibitor. For those not able to get a ticket, always have your camera ready to take a picture, as you never know what star could show up next! The artist has a limited time to sign autographs, so please keep in mind that not everyone attending the CMA Music Festival is guaranteed to get an autograph.
The tickets give fans the opportunity to do/see other things instead of waiting in line all day.
New this year!! Individual daily tickets will be available for the first time in 2008 to the truTV™ Fan Fair Exhibit Hall in the Nashville Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th. Tickets cost $20 per day, plus applicable handling fees. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 1-800-CMA-FEST (262-3378) or onsite during the event at the Sommet Center box office.
New in 2009, we are offering Renewable Sections in all seating levels (with exception of Upper Level). This is an opportunity to renew your ticket order without waiting in line. (Not all seats within sections are available for renewal.) Please call 1-800-CMA-FEST for more details.
The popular photo line is a longstanding tradition where fans get up close to the stage to take photos of their favorite stars. The photo line is one of the highlights that make the CMA Music Festival a truly unique experience. At LP Field, there are two continuous lines moving to the photo line (which runs right in front of the stages). Participants with four-day passes ONLY may enter the photo line behind Section 104 on the east concourse at LP Field.
Because so many fans want to take advantage of the photo line, continuous movement is required. There will be event staff on-site, as well as signage, to assist in this process. There is also a photo line at Riverfront Park Stages. Don't forget your camera! Be sure to have plenty of film.
This event is a not an official CMA Music Festival event. Please check back at a later date for more information as we receive it from the organizers of this event. Please remember that the CMA Music Festival does not have any involvement in the planning of this event, nor do any of the CMA Music Festival in-town shuttles run to Greer Stadium. Fan Fair was created in 1972 after fans started showing up at the annual DJ convention in Nashville. Country Music leaders offered Fan Fair as an alternative and 5,000 people attended the first event, which was held at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. The event moved to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in 1982, then to Downtown Nashville in 2001. Read more in the History section.
When Fan Fair moved from the Tennessee State Fairgrounds to Downtown Nashville in 2001, CMA immediately recognized that the name no longer represented what the event had become – a world-class, city-centered, music festival with bigger audiences, multiple venues and many more diverse activities than ever before. Fan Fair had evolved, and was renamed CMA Music Festival in 2004 to reflect its evolution.
But even as the event continues to grow, it's important to know that CMA values the traditions that made Fan Fair a phenomenon among music events. “Fan Fair” has come to represent the unique relationship between the artists and their fans and that will always be a centerpiece of CMA Music Festival. To symbolize this relationship, the exhibit hall area in the Nashville Convention Center, where fans receive autographs and photos with the artists at their booths, remains both the heart and the unique signature of the CMA Music Festival.
The 2008 CMA Music Festival will "Keep the Music Playing" in Metro Nashville's public schools with a charity initiative that will support music education through a partnership with the Nashville Alliance for Public Education.
The Nashville Alliance for Public Education will be the sole recipient of funds donated on behalf of the artists and celebrities who participate in CMA Music Festival in 2008. Since 2006, over 1.1 million has been donated. All of the funds will be used to support music education for Nashville's 73,000 public school students.
2009 CMA Music Festival will be Thursday – Sunday, June 11-14, 2009.
Umbrellas or lawn chairs are NOT allowed at the CMA Music Festival.
Nearly every major Country artist has participated in the event during its history. For a list of artists participating, visit the Artists page at CMAfest.com.
If you are a fan of Country Music this is your party. In four days you can enjoy more than 40 hours of concerts, experience the artists in unique settings such as friendly sports competitions or answering fans’ questions, meet the stars of tomorrow and collect a treasure trove of star autographs and photos. And each year, CMA will continue to add new elements and artists keeping CMA Music Festival fresh and exciting for years to come.
No Tailgating is allowed at LP Field.
